Cooker for a long time Easy to make and comforting, steamed potatoes are a great meal. This side dish is great for busy days or when you want a tasty side dish that doesn't take much work.
Ingredients:
- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish optional
Instructions:
Soup mix, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl
In the slow cooker, put half of the sliced potatoes and onions on top of each other
Add half of the soup mix to the onions and potatoes
Add half of the cheddar cheese shreds on top
Add more layers with the rest of the cheese, potatoes, onions, and soup mixture
Put butter on top
For 6 to 8 hours, or until the potatoes are soft, cover and cook on low heat
If you want, you can add chopped parsley as a garnish before serving
